Jharsuguda: In the first phase of the MDA program, on 10th February Mass Drug Administration Inaugural ceremony was organized at Ekatali, Jharsuguda. The MDA program was inaugurated by Jharsuguda District Commission rate Saroj Kumar Samal. The objective of the Mass Drug Administration was to ensure the dissemination of information highlighting the debility caused by Lymphatic Filariasis so that people can get accurate information about this serious disease.
At Jharsuguda district, to prevent Lymphatic Filariasis and to protect each and every person this MDA program will continue for 10 days. At this meeting, Jharsuguda health Department and District committee members will team up and volunteer the whole program. As per the reports, the anti-filarial drugs will be delivered to each and everyone with the help of ASHA’s Employees.
As per the reports, the anti-filarial drugs will not be prescribed to Old age people, pregnant women, any patients, and persons under two years.
