Jharsuguda District Collector reviews COVID19 Vaccine drive


Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda District Collector Saroj Kumar Samal, on Friday, reviewed the arrangements for Covid19 Vaccinations at UPHC Panchpada Centre, where the scheduled  Vaccination will be provided on 16th January.

He visited the Urban PHC, Panchapada, which is one among the four centres selected for the Vaccination process and reviewed the arrangements for the Covid19 Vaccination.

In Jharsuguda district, a total number of 21 centres will be set up for providing the vaccines to the people. On the first phase, on 16th of January, vaccines will be provided at four centres, where the Dry run of COVID19 was conducted earlier. The fours centres are TRL Hospital, Belpahar, Community Health Centre, Brajrajnagar, District Headquarter Hospital, Jharsuguda, and Urban PHC Panchpada, Jharsuguda.

On Wednesday, around 3200 doses of COVID19 Vaccines were arrived from Bhubaneswar and has been kept in the District Vaccine store at Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital. On the first round around 2880 beneficiaries are expected to be vaccinated. Subsequently, all the beneficiaries have been intimated by the Health Department through Call and even by SMS.

Jharsuguda District Collector Saroj Kumar Samal said, “We have been completely ready for the vaccination which is to commence tomorrow in our district. All the four centres where the COVID19 vaccination will be provided is ready along with the manpower who are deployed at each centre. Under the supervision of Jharsuguda Chief District Medical Officer, the Health Team of the district has been working hard. For 16th January, Vaccination will be provided from 9 am to 5 pm and as per planning on the first day around 100 frontline workers will be provided the Vaccination, who has been working with us during the COVID19.”

Bidhu Bhusan Mishra, Jharsuguda District Vaccine Logistics Manager,” “We have already distributed the required vaccination in each centre and each centre has been provided security in support with District Administration.”
