Veer Surendra Sai Statue Unveiled at VSS Airport, Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda : A Statue of Veer Surendra Sai was unveiled at the entrance of Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Airport on Thursday by the Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari and Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das.
This Statue has been built in support by NTPC, Darlipali, Sundergarh with an estimated cost of Rs. 39 Lakhs.
Odisha Health Minister Naba Kishore Das said, �It is a very happy moment for the everyone, that statue of Veer Surendra Sai has been inaugurated. People visiting this airport will get to know about our great freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai.�
Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari said, �The statue of great freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai has unveiled today. Even Jharsuguda Airport has been named after him. Even there is a proposal of the unveiling of two statues of Veer Surendra Sai inside the premises of Airport, sponsored by Mahanadi Coalfield Ltd. (MCL) and another by TRL Krosaki Ltd. The main aim is to create awareness regarding the great sacrifice done by the great freedom fighter fighting for our country. We are trying to inaugurate these statues on the birth anniversary of Veer Surendra Sai on 23rd January. By this person who are arriving at this airport will get to know about our Great freedom Fighter Veer Surendra Sai and his history.�
