Six Hospital staffs suspended over negligence
Jharsuguda: Six hospitals staffs including two Help Desk employee, two Security Guards and two in charge of COVID19 test were suspended by Jharsuguda District Hospital Administration for allegedly keeping a pregnant woman, who was in labour pain to wait till 3 hours.
The district chief medical officer on Friday ordered the suspension of a total of six staff members, including two from the district’s main hospital’s help desk, two security guards and two people in charge of the Covid test.
According to sources, a woman from Bandhabahal area came to the district main hospital on the 26th and was in labour pain. But due to covid19, she was not allowed to get admitted As a result, she was stranded for about three hours. After a few local social organisation had reached to the spot and Covid test was done and she got admitted inside the hospital. The administration has taken action after the incident went viral on social media.
