Jharsuguda : Four men were arrested on Thursday for allegedly kidnapping a 52-year-old officer of a Company Shyam Metalics & Energy Ltd.(Rengali) from Baljori area of Jharsuguda and demanded �a ransom of Rs. 10 Lakhs.
The four accused were identified as Satish Sharma (27), Apurb Dey (28), Raja alias Kailash Chaini (22) and Binod Oram (30).
As per sources, On Sunday morning, Shambhu Sharma, a officer of Shyam Metallics & Energy Ltd. (Rengali) �was kidnapped on the gun point by the three bike Bourne miscreants on his own vehicle (OR-15 M 5263) near Black Diamond Engineering College Road, Baljori. They then took the victim to the house of Raja alias Kailash Chaini at Purnabasti and had demanded Rs. 30 Lakhs but finally settled for Rs. 10 Lakhs. On Monday, the accused made victim call to his wife and asked a ransom of Rs. 10 Lakhs for his release. As per the deal, victim’s accountant had handed over Rs. 10 Lakh to the accuse without the knowledge of police. The accuse then had left the victim along with his car near Vedanta Gate No.2 situated at Purna Village.
Jharsuguda SDPO Purushottam Sethi Said that,” After collecting valuable clues about the criminals involved in this kidnapping case, we had conducted various raids based on the information and managed to nab four miscreants involved in this case and seized Rs. 10 Lakhs , Six mobile phones, one Bolero Car ( OD 16 A 8715) , Hero Honda I Smart (MH 32 AC 4013) , Hero Honda Splendor (OD 23 8555), One Yamaha Fazer (OD 23 5699) , One Royal Enfield (OD 23 D2222), one Pistol with four live ammunition and a dagger. In this gang another two people involved in this case has been still at large, will also be nabbed very soon.”
