Jharsuguda: Local Self Government Day was being celebrated in Jharsuguda & Brajrajnagar Municipality. In this occasion in Jharsuguda, The MLA Naba Kishore Das had hosted Indian flag int he premesis of the Jharsuguda municipality in which Chairman Shrimati Pratima Khalko , Executive Officer Mr. Sriniwas along with Councillor of various wards Lalit Magar , Vice-Chairman Murarilal Tulshyan , Sonu , Pawan Singh, Jharsuguda Youth Congress Benugopal Panigrahi .
Today Chairman Pratima Khalko had announced 65% increase in the workers wage (Mehengayi Bhatta) which was welcomed by everyone.
The Chief Guest of the function Sri Naba Kishore Das said in his speech that Jharsuguda Municipality which was formed in 1952 is one of the oldest Municipality but till now there is no proper water supply in 24 wards, No proper drainage systems, people don’t know where there drains water will go, No Community Centre, No Water Tank these all facilities which are very essential for the public was not being provided by the Municipality in last few years. But he told that ‘I would assure you that, Jharsuguda Municipality will be Number one Municipality in next few years’.
After this, A review meeting was taken place in the Conference Hall , where all Councillors , media were present in this meeting. However, BJD councillors had boycotted this and were not present in this function.
