Home Guard Tests positive, 22 Police personnel sent on Quarantine
Jharsuguda : A Home Guard deputed at Jharsuguda Town police has been tested positive for COVID19 infection here on Tuesday.
Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Rahul PR said, “The Home Guard was engaged at Jharsuguda Town Police Station and had been tested positive. The Home Guard had around 22 Police personnel who were on his contact tracing list. All 22 police personnel’s has been sent under Quarantine. Among 22 police personnel, 8 police personnel has already been tested negative, test was done through Rapid Antigen Test, while results for others are awaiting. Subsequently, Jharsuguda Town Police station has been sanitized.”
On Tuesday, Jharsuguda District reported 67 new cases in last 24 hours. The districts total COVID Positive cases has rise to 467, while total active positive cases are 141 , whereas total recovered cases till now is 325 and total death case till date is 1 .
On the other hand, Jharsuguda District Collector Saroj Kumar Samal, informed, that highest positivity rate as on 10th August has been reported from Belpahar Municipality while the lowest positivity rate has been reported from Lakhanpur Block. He shared this information through his Twitter Handle.
