JCCI appeals to extend market timing.

Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Chamber of Commerce and Industries submitted a memorandum to the State Cheif Secretary for demanding all shops to operate from 8 am to 8 pm.

JCCI President Hiralal Lokchandani wrote a letter to the State Chief Secretary on Wednesday. He mentioned the problems of shop owners due to the limited timing to open the market. The President stated that the shop owners are unable to pay their shop rents. The shop owners are also unable to pay the salaries of employees. They are unable to pay the utility bills and repayments of bank loans he added. He further mentioned that the market gets crowded on Mondays and Fridays due to the weekend shutdown. JCCI justified the reason for demanding extension of the market operating timing in the letter.
