Power couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas came forward to help the Assam flood relief. Monsoon has hit the northeastern state. i.e Assam very badly. Over 120 Dead, 26.38 Lakh People has been Affected In 27 Districts and at least 225 animal death casualty in the area of Kaziranga National Park and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, forcing animals to move to other places. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have announced that they’re donating towards Assam flood relief, pledging their support to NGOs that are involved in relief and rescue operations in the state. 

“While we are all still dealing with the effects of the global pandemic, the Indian state of Assam has been grappling with another major crisis. It has been devastated by floods triggered by heavy monsoon showers affecting the lives of millions. They need our attention and support. I’m sharing details of a few credible organizations that are doing some good work on the ground in Assam, and Nick and I have made a donation to each. Let us support them so they can continue to help those in need,” she wrote.

Donating to Assam, Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas have extended their support to Bihar, which is also struggling with the floods.

 “The monsoon in India have caused major devastation in many parts of the country. In the state of Bihar, which is where I was born, continuous heavy rains have caused major flooding. Much like Assam, millions of people have been affected and many have been displaced as their homes were washed away in the deluge. As they grapple with this devastation, they need all the help that we can provide. Nick and I have already donated to a few organisations whose teams are engaged in the active relief and rehabilitation work in the state. Now it’s your turn #BiharFloods.” Priyanka wrote.

Youtuber such as Carry Minati, Ashish Chanchlani have also come forward and donated for the Assam and Bihar flood. Ajey Nagar aka Carry Minati has raised Rs 11 lakh for the flood victims of Assam and Bihar. Out of the total amount, he has donated Rs 1lakh from his pocket. Ashish Chanchalani has also decided to donate 1 Lakh each (Total 2lakhs) towards Assam and Bihar relief fund.
