
Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda District Collector Saroj Kumar Samal on Tuesday said that Social Distance is the key for the prevention of COVID-19, in this regard the district administration is arranging to handover awareness leaflet to each and every household in the district.
This was said in a press meet held at Dist. Mineral Fund Conference Hall at Jharsuguda Collectorate.
While addressing media, Collector Saroj Kumar Samal said that We have been taking enough measures to promote Social distance among the people. We will distribute awareness leaflet to nearly 1,30,000 household. Additionally, We are also gathering records and tracking people and their family members those who have come from foreign countries or outside the state where the incident of COVID19 have taken place after 4th March. We are also making aware regarding the website where one has to register if they have come from outside country.
In Jharsuguda district, �all Shopping malls, Cinema Hall, School, Coaching Centre are closed till 31st March and from Tuesday onwards we have also shut down all the weekly market place. We have issued Section 144 in Mangal Bazaar area and if required will also enforce in other weekly market place and if a person is found violating any rules then strict action will be taken against them.
We have also enforced strict screening of passengers�at Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda. We would also start screening at Jharsuguda Railway Station. �For last one month, We have closed down any interface of Industries Vedanta and TRL Krosaki who have links with South-East Asian countries.
Till now no suspects have been found in Jharsuguda District. Any healthy people don’t require to wear a Mask, only people who are travelling or people who are suspected or infected and medical staffs who are involved in treating the patients are required to wear mask. We will also ensure how people won’t gather at Regional Transport Office.
