Jharsuguda Administration Introduces special Water Bell for students to drink water
Jharsuguda: After Ganjam, Jharsuguda Administration on Wednesday introduce Water Bell system in Schools. The concept was inaugurated by Jharsuguda District Education Officer Mitrabhanu Khachhap at Manmohan Government Upper Primary School, Jharsuguda
In the first phase, it has been introduced in all schools under the Jharsuguda Municipality area and has been provided with a special bell for this purpose.
�We have decided to introduce water bells in all the schools in the district, in the first phase we will introduce this in all the school of Jharsuguda Municipality from Wednesday and later on all schools of the district. All necessary instruction has been issued to school authorities,� said Jharsuguda District Collector Saroj Kumar Samal
The collector said the initiative aims at making drinking of water a habit among children to ensure that they stay hydrated.
Jharsuguda District Education Officer, Mitrabhanu Kachhap said that” In Jharsuguda district this is the first time we are introducing this special Water Bell for the students for the benefits of the students. The water bells will be rung thrice in a day at 11.50 am, 1.20 pm and 2.40 pm., even we have provided special bells to the school for this purpose. we are sure that this project will be very successful. Later we will also conduct a visit audit to schools to check whether this has been followed or not.”
Additionally, Jharsuguda Collector has assured to provide water bottles for the students through Corporate Social Responsibility Fund (CSR) and District Mineral Fund (DMF) he added.
“It’s a very nice concept and I am very happy that this has been introduced in schools and will be later introduced�in every school in the district. It will be of great help for the good health of school-going children’s, who generally bring a water bottle but hardly drink water in school,” said Prashant Kumar Nanda, a resident of Jharsuguda
