Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Lok Mahotsav “DulDuli” is scheduled to begin from Jan 1st at Man Mohan M.E. School here. All necessary preparation for this five days cultural fest celebration is in full pace which is set to be completed before the event.
In a press conference held on Sunday Morning, Jharsuguda Collector Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik said that, around 47 cultural teams including 15 teams from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Haryana and Chhattisgarh will take part. Even 11 Cultural teams from five blocks of Jharsuguda District i.e. Jharsuguda, Kolabira, Kirmira, Lakhanpur and Laikera will participate. During these five days around 1300 cultural artists will take part in the event.
Jharsuguda Mahotsav is being celebrated on the occasion of formation of Jharsuguda District formed in the year 1993. As, Jharsuguda completes it 25 year of the district formation massive preparation is on to celebrated this year in a grand way.
During these five days celebration various stalls are also being put up in which 130 stalls are from ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society), around 44 stalls by the GM, District Industries Centre (DIC) and 120 stalls from other line industries like Horticulture, Agriculture, Soil Conservation and food stalls.
Seeing the severe cold wave, all the programs will be start half an hour before the schedule so that the program ends earlier later in the night.
“This time around 15 cultural troops has been roped in from other states i.e. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Haryana and Chhattisgarh. We have also given importance to the local participation for making people aware about culture of our own state. As this year is special as we will be celebrating the 25year completion of district formation. In this regard a Mega Blood Donation camp is going to be held on January 3rd. The Development progress of our district is going on, this time we are holding a seminar, Jharsuguda at 25 years. In which we will discuss the journey of Jharsuguda in these 25 years and where it is standing now both pros and cons. In this seminar we are requesting intellectual people to come and participate in this seminar.” Said Jharsuguda Collector Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik
