Jharsuguda : Six person were arrested on Tuesday by Jharsuguda Town Police in connection with a Dacoity held on 15th June 2017.
Police identified the accused as Asish Chouhan (22) , resident of Mungapada , Jharsuguda, Shyam Sahis (22) , a resident of Rampur Colliery, Brajrajnagar, Udhab Gurla (33), resident of Sastrinagar, Orient Area, Brajrajnagar, Manoranjan Gardia alias Mutu (24), resident of Telenpalli, Brajrajnagar, Suresh Tanty (32), a resident of Beheramal, Jharsuguda along with a receiver Sanjib Patra (27), resident of H. Katapali Jharsuguda.
As per the police sources, On 15th June, the Gang had barged into a house of a complainant Bishewar Jaypuria, located at Radha Krushna Nagar, Jharsuguda. The gang members have covered their face and held the duo on the gun point and Knifes had committed dacoity. They fled away with the Mobile Phone, Gold ornaments. A case had been reported with Jharsuguda Town Police Station.
Jharsuguda S.P. Prakash R said that.” We have arrested the six people, including one receiver of the stolen good. However, one more person who is involved has been still at large. We have seized one knife, one 7.6m.m. country made pistol, three live ammunitions, Melted Gold weighing 5.2 gm, Samsung Mobile Phone and two motor cycles Yamaha (OD -23-E-3367), TVS XL (OD – 23-E-2550) which was involved in this crime.”
“Very soon, we will launch a special drive to seize the illegal arms in the district.” he added
