Jharsuguda : A 35-year-old man died on the spot when his bike was hit by a car coming from the front near Purna Chowk on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified at Ajit Amat (35), the resident of Laikera. As per the sources, Ajit along with his sister Rajeswari Amat (30) had come to visit a marriage function at Jharsuguda Town Hall from Laikera. After returning they were returning back to Laikera, when a car hit his Hero Honda Activa bike after hitting two to three trees. The collision was so intense that Ajit died on the spot whereas Rajeshwari who was sitting behind got injured. Later the injured had been rushed to Jharsuguda Dist. Head Quarter Hospital for treatment. Car Driver fled from the spot.
