Jharsuguda : An 11 years old kid died after he accidently fell inside 40 feet deep well and his body was fished out on Saturday morning by the help of Fire Brigade officials. He was reported missing since Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Abhay Jha, a resident of Dipupara area of Jharsuguda Town.
As per the police officials, Abhay was missing since Thursday (22nd December) from the house, he was last seen playing kite with kids. Later he was reported missing, his family members and relatives had searched everywhere but failed to know any information about his whereabouts. Lastly, they had filed a missing report on 22nd December afternoon. Soon Police had also started the investigation.
On Saturday morning, on the information of one of the resident Mahesh Maurya, happened to visit near the abandoned well had spotted his t-shirt while his body was floating. Later he had informed others and police officials. As the well was old and abandoned, fire brigade officials were called in and had fished out the body of the well and had sent the body for the post-mortem.
Jharsuguda Town Police Station IIC Khirasagar Naik said that “It seems that he was a kite enthusiastic, he had fallen into the abandoned well which was located inside a protected boundary while trying to grab the kite, we had fished the body and after the post mortem handed over the body to the family members of deceased family.”
