Jharsuguda : Eight students of Swayambhu Martial Arts Academy of Jharsuguda have bagged 5 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medal in 3rd Chido Cup SCKFI open All India Karate Championship held on  13 to 15 may 2016 at Ramesh & Ramesh Club Indore (M.P.). In this participants from seven states (M.P, Maharashtra, Odisha, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar & Goa) had taken part in which eight students had represented Odisha from Swayambhu Martial Arts Academy, under the guidance of Sensei P.S. Thapa. (Founder & General Secretary)

Details of the winners
1. Sonali Suna (13 yrs category) – Individual kata & kumite – Gold Medal
2. Tej Bahadue Thapa (16 yrs category)- Individual kumite – Gold Medal
3. Srijan Singh (11 yrs category) – Individual kumite – Gold
4. Gourav Bist (14 yrs category) – Individual kata – Gold, Individual kumite – Silver
5. Saloni Kumari (12 yrs category)- Individual kata – Silver
6.Soham Kishor (10 yrs category)- Individual kata & kumite – Silver
7. Chidananda Puri (above 18 yrs black belt category) – Individual kumite – Bronze.

In the Closing ceremony of this event Shihan Bharat Sharma General Secretary of Karate Association of India was the Chief Guest along with Secretary of M.P. Karate Association Sensei Ratan Gambhir was the Guest of Honour .

 Sensei Maari Naidu, Sensei Deepak Dash , Sensei Amit Thapa and Sensei Chidananda puri were also present.
