Jharsuguda : TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited received the coveted “Golden Peacock Award for Occupational Health and Safety” for the year 2013 from Institute of Directors (IOD), New Delhi. The company received this prestigious award consecutively twice in a row. The company had also received Golden Peacock Commendation Award for Environment Management in 2011.

Dr. A. K. Chattopadhyay, MD, TRL Krosaki received the award from Manish Tiwari, Union Minister of State – Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge), Government of India in a  function organized at New Delhi on the 15th World Congress on Environment Management on July 19, 2013. Mr. Jiban Pattanaik, AGM (Operation Technology) accompanied Dr. Chattopadhyay while receiving the award. The award was adjudged by a high profile Jury under the Chairmanship of Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Commission.

The award is conferred on TRL Krosaki Refractories consecutively twice in a row in recognition of its commitment and continuous improvement in occupational health and safety management. The company has won this award in the engineering category, competing with established players in the field.
