Jharsuguda: Two culprits Panchananda Karali of Katikela (42) and Sukhram Bek (36) of Bihar have been arrested in connection of theft of tower conductor of Vedanta Tower Line located near Katikela Village. As per the sources the theft was committed on 14th January 2013 and these culprit had kept this material at undisclosed location. Police had recovered and arrested both of them the next day and had seized 450 Mtr. of Earthing Wires, 150 Mtrs. Tower Main Conductor, 8 pcs Tower Angular and 2 pcs. Line Angel Jointer.
Police sources said that the mastermind of this theft Panchanan Karali have been caught for the fourth time on the similar theft case of this conductor. He was also booked in the year 2003, 2007 and 2011 for similar theft cases. Police has imposed an additional IPC section 110 on him with IPC 379, 34. In this case IIC K.C. Acarya along with S.I L Lakra , ASI G.K. Das , ASI P.K. Dalai , ASI A.K. Behera had successfully managed to unearth this gang. IIC Acharya said that there might be some more people who might have been involved in this case. The investigation is on.
