Jharsuguda: More than 2 hours NH-49 was being blocked by the BJP workers near Bus stand of Jharsuguda around 12 O’ Clock. BJP Workers had first taken out a peaceful rally from Kali Mandir road to the NH office but failing to meet the Executive officer in NH Office. They blocked the entire traffic on NH-49.
According to the memorandum, BJP have pout across the sorrow condition of the NH which is in a bad shape due to which several commuters were facing problems in this rainy season. They have blamed the NH for not taking corrective action before the rainy season due to which the condition of roads are in bad shape.
They have put in their 5 point demands in the memorandum as
1. Immediate repair of damaged portion of road in Beheramal
2. Immediate repair of damaged portion of road from bus stand point of Kali Mandir upto Kolabaira
3. Left over work by the side of the culverts between Belpahar to Jharsuguda and giving caution boards on those points to prevent the chance of road accidents an
4. Putting paints on the humps for proper identification and caution boards on the both sides of humps for speed control.
5. Widening of road and removal of encroachments for smooth movement of public.
However, Jharsuguda Town OIC uma Shankar Maharana rushed the spot and clam down the supporters and brought the Executive officer Mr. Prasant Kumar Pradhan who assured that the repairing works will be started and soon after the rainy season new roads will be laid.
State Executive Body Member Dinesh Kumar Jain , Bulu Senapathy Dist, Town President , Advocate Prasant Maharana , Naresh Nayak , Anil Goel , Dakeshwar Pandey, Biju Sarangi , Kishore Patel , Trilochan Singh , Iqbal Singh , Vishal Bondia , Vishal Tibrewal along with many BJP Supporters were present in this Road Block.
