According to the BJD, in a survey conducted in the year of 1997, a total 8060 BPL cards were distributed under Brajrajnagar Municipality. Blaming the administration that they left out as many as 4354 cards out of 8060 BPL cards and have treated motherly to the people of Brajrajnagar.
