Jharsuguda: NTPC Darlipali celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at Utkarsh Bhawan, bringing together employees and their families to commemorate the occasion and reaffirm their commitment to the nation.
The celebrations were graced by Shri Faiz Taiyab; Head of Project (HoP), Darlipali. The Independence Day commenced bysinging National song followed by hoisting of the National Flag and rendition of National Anthem. A CISF Guard of Honour and release of tricolour balloons further added to the patriotic spirit of the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Faiz Taiyab, HoP, extended his Independence Day greetings and highlighted the importance of collective commitment, excellence and responsibility in contributing to the nation’s progress.
A major highlight of the programme was the recognition of excellence and contribution across the NTPC Darlipali fraternity. HOP Meritorious Awards, Manveeyata Puraskar and Power Excel Awards were presented, along with recognition of outstanding performers from Employees of NTPC Darlipali, Bal Bharati Public School, CISF, Security and associate staff.
The occasion also witnessed the launch of the Masala Sales initiative byAbhilasha Ladies Club, headed by Smt. Tazeen Jawed; President, reflecting the continued efforts towards encouraging self-reliance and community participation.
The celebrations were further enlivened by a vibrant cultural programme, showcasing the spirit and diversity of India. Adding a meaningful dimension to the occasion, bicycles were distributed to meritorious GEM students, supporting their educational journey and encouraging them to pursue their aspirations.
On this special occasion a miniature model of the NTPC Darlipali Plant was inaugurated by Shri Faiz Taiyab, HoP in the presence of GM (O&M), GM (Projects), GM (Maint. & ADM), CMO and other senior NTPC officials.
The Independence Day celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the gathering with a renewed sense of patriotism, pride and collective responsibility towards nation-building.
The programme reflected NTPC Darlipali’s commitment to celebrating national occasions while recognising excellence, encouraging young talent and strengthening the bonds within the NTPC family.
