Preparations Underway for District-Level Republic Day Celebrations, Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: A preparatory meeting for the district-level Republic Day celebrations was held under the chairmanship of District Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane at the conference hall of the District Mineral Foundation Office. Additional District Magistrate (General) Brajabandhu Bhoi and Sub collector Sabyasachi Panda were also present.
During the meeting, the Collector sought cooperation from all participants for the successful organization of this year’s Republic Day festivities. Plans were finalized for a series of events, starting with a morning ‘Ramdhun’ campaign across all urban and rural areas of the district. Between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, the national flag will be hoisted at various government offices, clubs, libraries, educational institutions, and private establishments. At 9:00 AM, the Chief Guest will host the National Flag at Manmohan ground.
A parade featuring NCC and non-NCC students from various high schools and colleges, as well as cultural programs by educational institutions will be key highlights of the day. Fruits and sweets will be distributed at the District Headquarters Hospital, Maternal Health Center, Sub-Jail, Child Care Institutions, and schools for differently-abled students by various organizations.
Competitions such as speech contests, essay writing, quizzes, drawing, and patriotic poetry recitation will also be organized for school and college students. In the evening, a cultural program will be held at the MCL Auditorium in Beheramal, with performances by various groups and organizations.
District Information and Public Relations Officer Ajay Jena briefed participants on the program schedule and arrangements. The meeting was attended by heads of educational institutions, departmental officers, representatives of voluntary organizations, and prominent citizens.
The preparations reflect the collective effort of the district to celebrate Republic Day with patriotism and enthusiasm.
