Jharsuguda’s Cricket Fever Culminates: White Combine School Emerges Victorious in Intra School Cricket Tournament
Jharsuguda : The much-anticipated Intra School Cricket Tournament organized by the Odisha Cricket Association reached its thrilling conclusion on Tuesday with an electrifying Grand Finale match between White Combine School, Jharsuguda, and St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School. In a nail-biting encounter, White Combine School emerged victorious, defeating St. Mary’s by 13 runs.
White Combine School won the toss and chose to bat first, putting up a competitive total of 144/10 in 39.5 overs. In response, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School fought valiantly but fell short, managing a score of 131/10 in 29.5 overs.
The title of Man of the Match was awarded to Sachin Mali for his exceptional bowling performance, where he displayed remarkable figures of 8-0-38-3. The match was officiated by umpires Bibhuti Patra and Binay Prasad, while Md Nasir Malik and Aryan Tiwari were responsible for keeping the scorecards accurate.
The overall excellence throughout the tournament earned Om Sakunia the coveted title of Man of the Series, recognizing his outstanding contributions. Individual brilliance was also acknowledged with the following awards: Best Batsman: Abhishek Sahu, Best Bowler: Bishal Prasad, Best Wicket Keeper: Lucky Singh, and Best Fielder: Nirav Agarwal.
