Jharsuguda Dist. Collector Reviews Health programmes and issues instructions to Improve services

Jharsuguda: In order to improve health services in Jharsuguda district, District Collector Aboli Sunil Narwane has directed the intensification of the programmes under health services. In this context, a meeting was held in the conference room of the District Mineral Fund under the chairmanship of the District Collector on Wednesday.

In the meeting, various programmes such as maternal and child mortality in the district, awareness creation and training in areas with low numbers of children and girls, improvement of health centres under the “AMA Hospital” programme, treatment of non-communicable diseases, malaria and dengue prevention, and family planning were reviewed.

The District Magistrate has ordered to make the trauma care unit, Mission Shakti Cafe, waiting room, and restroom for patient attendants operational in the district head hospital. For the prevention of malaria, pills have been distributed to every house, and the colonies of industrial companies like Vedanta, OPGC, and TRL have been instructed to take careful steps to ensure that everyone takes the medicine.

CDMO Dr Dolamani Patel, DMO and Superintendent Dr Mahesh Mohan Panda, ADPHO Dr Suprabha Barik, Dr Radharman Birtia, DPM Bulunath Sahu, Hospital Manager Abhishek, and other SW officers were present in the meeting.
