Armed dacoits flees with valuables worth Rs 2 lakhs, injures a woman
Jharsuguda:�Unidentified armed dacoits injured a 33-year-old woman and decamped valuables worth Rs 2 lakhs from a house located at Sajanipada of Badheimunda Area on wee hours of Thursday.
As per the sources, The victim Truptimayee Naik, a resident of Kuliemura Village under Laikera Police Station, have been residing in a rented accommodation at Sajanipada of Badheimunda area since March 2017.
As per the complainant, On Wednesday night, Truptimayee was residing alone at her rented accommodation along with her 10-year-old kid, �as her husband had gone to Laikera for some work.
At around 1: 30 a.m., She got up due to the light of a torch coming from the window and heard some whispers from outside. She immediately took her ten-year child along with her and shifted to inside room by that time few armed miscreants had broken the lock of the door and had entered into the house. The armed men were carrying “Bhujali” and had hit her with a brick on her head due to which she was injured. They threatened her not to shout and had also damaged her mobile phone.
The miscreants asked her to open the Almirah and fled away with Gold and Silver ornaments.
After learning about the incident the neighbours and the house owner had rushed the victim to Jharsuguda Dist. Headquarter Hospital for first aid and had lodged a complained at Jharsuguda Police Station.
Jharsuguda IIC Khirasagar Naik said that “We had visited the spot and verified that there are more than four miscreants involved in this crime. The Scientific team had also visited the spot. We are investigating the matter and would soon catch the culprits.”
