Jharsuguda café founders bag ‘Healthy Chef Award’ at Master Chef Sambalpur 2026
Jharsuguda: A mother-daughter duo from Jharsuguda brought laurels to the district after winning the prestigious “Healthy Chef Award” at Master Chef Sambalpur 2026, held in Sambalpur on Saturday.
Mrs. Nirmala Buchwani and her daughter Ms. Leena Buchwani, founders of Khatta Meetha Cafe, impressed the judges with their authentic Sindhi Thali, earning accolades for preserving and promoting the rich culinary heritage of the Sindhi community.
The award was presented by renowned chef Vijay Sharma, who appreciated the duo’s unique concept, traditional flavours and artistic presentation. Their platter showcased a variety of authentic Sindhi delicacies, reflecting the community’s culture, traditions and culinary legacy.
The presentation received an enthusiastic response from the audience, who applauded the duo’s efforts to introduce authentic Sindhi cuisine on a competitive platform. Judges also praised the emphasis on wholesome, nutritious ingredients, which earned them the Healthy Chef Award.
