English Language Day and World Book Day Celebrated at DAV Public School Campus

Jharsuguda: DAV Public School campus witnessed a vibrant celebration of English Language Day and World Book Day, marking a tribute to global literature and reading culture.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Principal Laxmikanta Debta, where floral tributes were offered to the portrait of legendary English poet, novelist and playwright William Shakespeare.
In his address, Mr. Debta highlighted the global importance of English literature, its widespread popularity, accessibility, vast career scope, international demand, and the growing need to develop strong reading habits among students.
Senior English teacher Alekh Bihari Sahoo elaborated on the significance and objectives behind celebrating English Language Day and World Book Day, emphasizing literary awareness and cultural enrichment.
Teachers Sukanya Mahapatra and Anamika Rani coordinated the event and organized several engaging and entertaining activities for the teaching staff, adding enthusiasm to the celebration.
The programme saw active participation and support from teachers Pabitra Mohan Kabi, Premananda Mahana, S.K. Seraj, Nityananda Sahu, along with other faculty members who contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
