Safe Internet Day Observed at L.N. College to Promote Cyber Awareness

Jharsuguda: Safe Internet Day was observed at the premises of L.N. College through the joint initiative of the district administration and the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The programme was organised with the objective of promoting safe use of the internet and creating cyber awareness in the digital age.
NIC District Informatics Officer (DIO) Tarani Behera attended the programme as the keynote speaker and guided students on the importance of cyber security in the digital era. He also explained the precautions that should be followed while using the internet.
Additional District Magistrate (General) Braj Bandhu Bhoi attended the event as the chief guest, while Additional District Education Officer Shakuntala Kishan and College Principal Tapan Barik were present as guests of honour. Among others, Physics lecturer Jitendra Das, NIC officials Gulu Deep and Achyuta Mishra were present and extended their support in conducting the programme.
On the occasion, detailed discussions were held on how the safe use of the internet can help prevent cyber fraud. The awareness session also highlighted the importance of protecting personal data while using the internet and emphasized the need for digital literacy. College faculty members and a large number of students actively participated in the programme.
