FIR against Jharsuguda Airport Director for assaulting Staff

Jharsuguda : A Police complaint was filed against the Jharsuguda Airport Director, Sandeep Tiwari, for physically assaulting and verbally abusing a senior employee on duty. The incident, which reportedly occurred on Tuesday morning, has prompted a formal police complaint and triggered unrest among the airport staff.
As per the complaint filed at Jharsuguda Airport Police Station, Sandeep Kumar Minz, President of the Jharsuguda Airport Authority Employees’ Union and a Senior Assistant Electrical Engineer at the airport, alleged that he was assaulted and verbally abused by Director Tiwari inside his office. The confrontation occurred during a discussion about employee-related demands submitted by the union.
“He started abusing me in casteist language and then physically assaulted me by punching and kicking,” Minz stated in his complaint. The incident reportedly took place when Minz visited the Director’s office with a list of union demands. The meeting turned heated and allegedly escalated into a physical attack.
Soon after the altercation, several airport employees gathered in support of Minz and marched to the police station, demanding immediate action against the Director.
The police have registered a case, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
On the other hand, when contacted, Jharsuguda Airport Director Sandeep Kumar Tiwari refuted the allegations, stating that there is no truth to them. “The allegation is completely baseless,” he said.
