Students of Vidya Vikas International School Shines in the 28th District-Level Sports Competition.
Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda Sports Association organized the District Athletic Meet from March 27th to March 28th, where more than 300 participants competed. The event was graced by the presence of the District Collector, Aboli Sunil Narvane (IAS), as the chief guest, alongside Tapas Ray Choudhury, General Secretary of DDA (District Development Authority), and Manas Ranjan Acharya, Athletic Secretary of DDA.
A total of 18 students from Vidya Vikas International School participated in the event, achieving remarkable success across various categories. Nikita Kalo (Female) in the Under 20 category won a gold medal in long jump and a bronze medal in shot put. Parameshwar Behera (Male) in the Under 16 category won a bronze medal in the 800m race. Premananda Pradhan (Male) in the Under 18 category secured a bronze medal in the 800m race. Lalit Bishwal (Male) in the Under 14 category dominated the triathlon, winning three gold medals. Shubham Kumar Ray (Male) secured a gold medal in javelin throw. Krishna Pandey (Male) in the Under 20 category won a silver medal in long jump. Anshuman Sahu (Male) secured a gold medal in discus throw and a bronze medal in shot put.
The success was achieved under the guidance of HOD (Head of Department) Vidyadhar Sahu, with support from Manmohan Nayak and Hiranmayee Jena.
The outstanding performance of the students has brought pride and honor to Vidya Vikas International School. The chairman of Vidya Vikas Group of Institutions, G. Bhaskar Rao, executive director Ram Krishna Rao, D. Nageshwar Rao from Lakshmi Vikas Group, and principal of Vidya Vikas International School, Subhojit Ghosh, congratulated the students on their achievement. All teachers and administrative staff of the school also extended their best wishes.
