New Cr�che and Facilitation Centre for Women Inaugurated at Jharsuguda Collectorate Office
Jharsuguda: In a significant step towards supporting working women and visitors to the district office, the Jharsuguda District Administration has inaugurated a dedicated facilitation center, “Kaalika,” designed to cater to the needs of women and their children. The initiative, driven by the innovative efforts of District Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane, aims to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for women working in district and adjoining offices, as well as for those visiting the office for complaints and other services.
The cr�che center, located on the Ground Floor of the district office, is equipped with a variety of toys to keep young children engaged and entertained while their mothers attend to their official duties or administrative matters. Additionally, a television has been installed to offer further entertainment options for the children. Understanding the needs of nursing mothers, the center also features specially designated rooms for breastfeeding.
District Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane officially inaugurated the facility today, highlighting its significance in empowering women by offering a secure and convenient space for them and their children. “This center will significantly benefit women working here and those visiting for various services, ensuring they can focus on their responsibilities without worrying about their children’s care,” she stated during the opening ceremony.
The inauguration was attended by several key officials, including Superintendent of Police Smit P Parmar, Zilla Parishad Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Prabeer Kumar Nayak, Additional Collector (General) Brajbandhu Bhoi, Additional Collector (Revenue) Kishore Chandra Swain, Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, District Chief Medical and Public Health Officer Jaykrushna Nayak, Community Development Officer PurnaChandra Bhoi, District Social Welfare Officer Punyabati Helen Khes, and District Child Protection Officer Sunanda.
Also present were Reena Nayak and Rudraksha Shekhar from the District Mineral Fund, along with other officers and staff.
