Food Safety Officer Sebastian Horo along with other food officials and police officials, led the initiative. Their efforts are part of an ongoing campaign to uphold food safety standards in the region and protect the health of consumers.

Jharsuguda Food Safety Officer Sebastian Horo said, “We have started a drive from Kalimandir to Badheimunda and the old bus stand to Sarbahal in the last two days, where we have conducted comprehensive quality checks on food stalls, sweet stalls, and fast-food kiosks. During this drive, we have destroyed Substandard foods and have instructed the vendors to maintain hygiene, especially during this rainy season. We have also imposed fines on various stalls within the last two days. In the coming days also, we will be regularly holding this drive.  During this drive, we are also focusing on drinking water arrangements for customers and have asked not to use well water and use only filtered water or Bottled water. Subsequently, I want to request Hotelier, Fast food, Stalls, and street food vendors to strictly maintain hygiene and not give any stale foods and use only fresh foods and also not use any colour products in their food items.”
