Jharsuguda District police to use SAARATHI mobile app for quick policing on election day
Jharsuguda :�Jharsuguda District Police launched a SAARATHI Mobile APP for taking immediate measures and handling law and order issues in the General election to be held�on May 20 in Jharsuguda district.
Addressing the media Jharsuguda SP Smith P Parmar Said, �We have launched SAARATHI Mobile App for the General Elections.� We will also have a composite Control Room at the District headquarters. In the SAARATHI Dashboard, we will easily track the movements of all the mobile vans and police personnel which is GPS enabled. So that they can be easily tracked from here. At present, we have 39 Mobile parties, 20 Sector Police parties, 6 DSP rank officer parties including superior officers� parties, 59 revenue officer parties, and 30 medical mobile vans which will be tracked in real-time and in case of any issues or any Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violation, the nearest team will rush to the place and respond immediately and then action taken report will be submitted. We can also track if the police personnel are reaching on time or not and can easily fix the accountability. Subsequently, in case of any health emergency from heat waves or any other issue, we have station already stationed our mobile vans which will respond immediately. The police personnel Central Armed Police (CAPF) who have come from outside usually face little difficulty regarding the area but through this app, they can easily reach the polling booths by navigating through Google Maps. Additionally, all Important emergency contact numbers are in that app so that officers can use that feature and easily contact us immediately.�
Saarathi Mobile app is a smart and quick policing tool that demarcates and maps Critical and common polling stations. It allows mobile parties, striking, and special striking teams to be dispatched immediately, and police forces� locations can be tracked through Google Maps from the control room.
The app has been designed so that if any untoward incident occurs at the polling centres or other places on polling day, the police officers near places will immediately reach there and maintain law and order.
