DAV National Sports Zonal Meet 2023 : State Level Karate Tournament took place in Jharsuguda DAV premises.
Jharsuguda : The State Level Karate Tournament was held at DAV Jharsuguda. At this event, the Inauguration Lamp was lit by the Vice�President, of the Odisha Athletic Association and General Secretary, of Jharsuguda District Athletic Association� Tapas Kumar Roy Choudhury, the Chief Guest of the event. The Principal of the host school, Prashanta Kumar Panda led the welcome as well as the guests� introduction ceremony. 117 Student participants (77 Boys and 40 Girls), 24 Escort Teachers from 20 DAV schools joined and 15 Officials of the state conducted the Karate Tournament. Senior most teacher Nilima Patel expressed her thoughts on this event, Karate player Aryan Panwar led the pledge and PET Bijay Kumar Dash led the vote of thanks. In the Closing Ceremony The Principal of DAV, MCL, Basundhara, and Sports Cluster Head Rajendra Ku. Bedbak attended the event as the Chief Guest and awarded the winners. Dr A N Khosla DAV, Rourkela grabbed the Champions Trophy in Boys Karate and Chandrashekharpur DAV in Girls Karate. Similarly, CDA Cuttack DAV grabbed the Runners Up Trophy in Boys Karate.� Teachers Dr Manjushree Vedula, MVLN Rao, Alekha Bihari Sahoo, and Anjali Balasubramanian conducted the stage formalities. Nationally certified referees and judges Deepak Kumar Samantara, Rajib Kumar Singh, Sanak Deo, Dusmanta Kumar Nayak, Suresh Chandra Jal, Gopal Chandra Deep, Sarbesh Agarwal, Mantu Joshi, Samir Bohidar, Bhabani Shankar Panda, Byomakesh Behera, Debasish Kabi, Hruday Sabar, Chandra Sekhar Seth and Ranjan Kumar Patra conducted the DAV State Level Karate Tournament.
