OPGC receives 24th CII National Award for Excellence in Energy Management
IB Thermal : In a remarkable feat in Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Business Management, Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd (OPGC) has been bestowed with the prestigious CII National Award for excellence in energy management, Under this OPGC has been recognized as “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit” under Power Plant category by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in its 24th National Energy Awards event for Excellence in Energy Management. The award event was organized on 15 September 2023 at Hyderabad.
The CII, a premier industry association in India, bestows this honor on companies that demonstrate exceptional performance in energy conservation, reduction of carbon footprint, and adoption of innovative sustainability practices. This year, out of a total of 198 participants from various industrial sectors from all over India, only seven companies (in the power sector) were selected in this category. OPGC is the only State Utility company in the Power Sector to be selected for this prestigious National award.
