Jharsuguda: Branch Manager Shakti Prasad Rath and Senior Administrative Officer Yogendra Neti inaugurated the 67th Insurance Week Day at the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) office in Beheramal on Friday.
The week-long activities include a health check-up for employees, a Guru Purnima celebration at Manmohan School, and a quiz competition for staff and high school students. A debate competition will also be held.
On the occasion, Basantnath from the Officers’ Association, Ved Vyas Bhoi from the Karmachari Association, Tapan Mishra from the Agents’ Association, Biswajit Swain from the Promotion Officers’ Association, and Ratnakar Pradhan from the LIC Pensioners’ Association spoke about the development of the insurance industry and the protection of policyholders. The meeting was moderated by Arun Cheney.
Ashish Shukla, Assistant Branch Manager, thanked Rishi Bala, Kanak Nayak, Devasmita Dash, Savitri Dudum, Deepika Balsa, Kishori Chanchan, Gopinath Mishra, and other employees and police officers for their presence.
The 67th Insurance Week is being celebrated from September 1 to 7 to raise awareness about the importance of insurance. The theme of this year’s week is “Insuring the Future of India.”
