Jharsuguda Awarded for Successful Implementation of PM Crop Insurance Scheme and Crop Cutting Experiment
Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda district has been awarded at the all-India level for the successful implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme (PMCIS) and Crop Cutting Experiment (CCE). The award was presented to Jharsuguda District Collector Aboli Sunil Narwane at a two-day conference held in Rishikesh.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Development (MoAF&D) of the Government of India conducts the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme to provide financial assistance to farmers in case of crop failure due to natural calamities. The crop cutting experiment is conducted to assess the crop yield and determine the amount of compensation to be paid to farmers.
Jharsuguda district has been successful in implementing the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme and Crop Cutting Experiment in a timely and efficient manner. This has been possible due to the hard work and dedication of the district administration, farmers, and insurance companies.
The district collector expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in the successful implementation of the schemes. She also expressed hope that this success will encourage everyone in the days to come.
