District Planning Committee Meeting held
Jharsuguda: Minister for Rural Development, Skill Development, and Vocational Education and District Planning Board Chairman Pritiranjan Ghadai on Wednesday stressed the preparation of an action plan to make Jharsuguda district a leader in a particular field and attract the attention of others. He was addressing a meeting of officials at the DRDA Conference Hall at Jharsuguda.
The minister directed the officials to complete the projects and plans within the specified time frame in the fields of agriculture, education, health, energy, irrigation, transport, and the environment.
He also asked them to take immediate steps to provide water to the farmers for farming and to provide drinking water to every house in the district. He also directed them to prepare a work plan for the improvement of small and minor enterprises and to organize the selection of beneficiaries and capability camps for old age allowance, widow allowance, and disabled allowance.
The minister advised the group development officers to take appropriate action and to be careful so that no one misses out on the allowance. He also asked the relevant departmental officers to take steps to collect relevant information to provide training and employment to the local youth and to strengthen the Odisha Livelihood Mission program in the district.
District Collector Aboli Sunil Narwane informed the minister about the progress of ongoing projects and plans in the district. Brajrajnagar MLA Alaka Mohanty, Bargarh MP representative Raghunandan Panda, Jharsuguda MLA representative Pratap Nanda, District Council Chairperson Tulabati Minj, ADM Prabir Kumar Naik, Member of Group Development Officer, and other district-level officials were present in the meeting.
