Strict Action Warned Against Illegal Parking and Pollution Violators
Jharsuguda: The authorities of all mineral transportation companies have been warned of strict action against illegal parking and pollution violations. A meeting was presided over by District Collector Aboli Sunil Naravane and SP Smit P. Parmar
The meeting was attended by Director (Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation) Alokmani Sethi, Additional District Collector (General) Prabir Kumar Nayak, Additional District Collector (Revenue) Lankeshwar Amat, National Highway Project Director, Pollution Control Board Regional Officer, Regional Transport Officer, Vedant, MCL, and officials of other companies, including JSW and TRL Krosaki, and concerned district-level officials were present.
The company’s authorities have been instructed to take measures to reduce pollution. Trucks carrying coal and iron ore have been instructed to run properly with tarpaulin and wash the wheels of the trucks to keep the roads clean.
Companies have been warned that legal action and fines will be taken against any company found to be involved in pollution and illegal parking.
Companies have also been asked to take measures for the clean disposal of waste materials such as ash, coal slag, etc. to reduce pollution in certain areas.
Restrictions have been imposed on lane parking in educational institutions, markets, and crowded places. Similarly, the company authorities were directed to take steps to deploy their own security forces on both sides of the IB Bridge for smooth traffic on behalf of the company. The company authorities were alerted to take steps towards proper compliance with all the orders discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was held in the wake of increasing complaints about pollution and illegal parking in the district. The authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against any company or individual found to be violating the rules.
