Jharsuguda : A Mechanical Engineer of Jharsuguda has successfully cleared the prestigious Odisha Civil Service Examination by securing the 32nd Rank. The results of the Odisha Civil Service Examination were announced on Monday.
Rakesh Kumar Sahu, who is a Mechanical Engineer passed out from NIT Patna in the year 2016 and had worked at Maruti Suzuki too. However, he always dreamt of serving the public. So, in the year 2020, he left the corporate Job and started preparing for the Civil Service Examinations. In his second attempt, he secured the 32nd Rank.
“I had worked for 4 years and after that, I left my job and started preparing for the IAS and OAS examinations. I am completely satisfied with my rank. I want to thank everyone, especially family members who supported me. My aim for joining the Civil Service is first, my father is working in Health Department and secondly, as a technical person I feel that in administration, there is a necessary for technical candidates also as the administration is also now adopting technology. I use to prepare for 12 hours a day mainly online on various platforms. My parents have supported me since I took the decision to leave my job and prepare for it. I will definitely join and would also prepare for IAS.” said Rakesh Kumar Sahu
Rakesh is the son of proud parents Ranjan Kumar Sahu and Geetanjali Sahu. Rakesh is the elder of the two sons.
