4 people arrested in connection with beating a 35 year old man to death
Jharsuguda : Rengali Police on Saturday arrested 4 people in connection with beating a 35-year-old man to death over some issue at a Petrol Pump near Katarbaga Village in Lakhanpur Block on Thursday.
The police identified the four accused as Naresh Khamari (38), Suresh Khamari (40), both residents of Nachanmura under Lakhanpur Block, Pramod Padhan (35), resident of Sahasbaga Village, and Rajkumar Kalet (36) , a resident of Jamgoan village under Lakhanpur Block
As per Police sources, the deceased Ganesh Singh was a dismissed constable of Jharsuguda district. On Thursday at about 3.00 PM he went to the �Badhei Fuel Filling Station, Katarbaga� in a drunken condition and quarreled with the accused Suresh Khamari, who is the Manager of the Filling Station. On being informed, the other accused persons namely Naresh Khamari, Pramod Pradhan, Rajkumar Kalet, and Ashok Padhan arrived at the spot and assaulted the deceased mercilessly by means of lathi and iron pipe, causing severe bleeding injuries on his persons. Thereafter the deceased was shifted to CHC, Lakhanpur by NHAI Ambulance for primary treatment, and subsequently to Jharsuguda District Headquarter Hospital, where Ganesh was declared brought dead.
Based on the written report of the elder brother of deceased Dolamani Singh (42) of village Machida, regarding the murder of his younger brother Ganesh Singh at �Badhei Fuel Fillings Station, Katarbaga�, a case was registered on 14.07.2023 and investigated into.
Under the direction of SP, Jharsuguda a special team was formed under the leadership of IIC, Rengali PS to nab the culprits. The Team swiftly came into action without any delay and established the complicity of the following arrested accused persons and their associates and seized four nos of sticks and one iron rod from the spot.
