New Safety Measures for Auto Passengers in Jharsuguda Announced

Jharsuguda: The new Jharsuguda bus stand is set to become operational soon, and with it, new auto fares and regulations for urban travel have been set. The committee met today under the chairmanship of District Collector Aboli Sunil Narwane to finalize the details.

Autos plying in urban areas will be registered at the town police station and assigned serial numbers. Each auto will also have the user’s name and photo, the auto number, the user’s mobile number, and the police toll-free number. This will help to ensure the safety of passengers and make it easier to track down vehicles in case of any problems.

The fare for travel from the new bus stand to the city has been fixed at Rs. 12 per kilometer. This is in line with the fares charged by other modes of public transportation in the area. Autos will also be mentioned in a fixed price list for commuting from various places, such as Sarabahal, Vedant Gate, Jhanda Street, Bus Stand, Behramal Bombay Chowk, etc. These measures are expected to make urban travel in Jharsuguda safer and more convenient for everyone.
