Three members of a family injured in a Wild Boar attack in Kapumal Area

Jharsuguda : Three members of a family including a woman and her two children were attacked by a wild boar who sneaked inside their house on Thursday Morning at Kapumal, under the Jharsuguda Municipality area.

The injured have been identified as �Gauri Naik, his daughter Bimala Naik, and his son, all residents of Kapumal. All three injured were shifted to Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital, where the son was discharged after giving first aid.

The victim Bimala Naik said, �We were sleeping and the door was open so the wild boar entered our house, at first, he bit my mother, as she was sleeping. I came and tried to stop, during this the boar bit me also afterward my brother also came to the rescue, he was also bitten but he was not so injured.

The victim Gauri Naik said, �I was sleeping when the wild boar came and bit near my ear and gain went away and he again bites on my stomach, my son and daughter came to my rescue, afterward it also bite my son and daughter.�

Jharsuguda Divisional Forest Officer Manu Ashok Bhat said, � Three people in Kapumal hamlet in Durlaga section were attacked by a wild boar at 6.30 am today. The boar entered their home as it was being chased by dogs. The victims are reported as a mother (60), her son (32), and her daughter (35).�They are undergoing treatment at a government hospital. Our staff, upon receiving information, reached the location to find a dead boar. The postmortem report is awaited. A case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, the three have received treatment at a government hospital and they will be given a compassionate grant through ANUKAMPA.�
