Newly Constructed Naba Das Auditorium Inaugurated in Jharsuguda, Odisha
Theatre capacity of 1,400 people and is equipped with modern sound and lighting systems
Jharsuguda: A new Auditorium , named after the late Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, inaugurated in Jharsuguda on Sunday. The Auditorium was built with CSR funds from Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and the District Mining Fund. It has a seating capacity of 1,400 people and is equipped with modern sound and lighting systems.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari, Jharsuguda MLA Dipali Das, and other dignitaries. In his speech, Pujari said that the theatre would be a great asset to the people of Jharsuguda and would provide a platform for cultural and social activities.
Dipali, who is the daughter of the late minister, said that the theatre was a dream project of her father and that she was happy that it had finally been completed. She said that the theatre would be used to promote art and culture in the district.
The auditorium is located in Beheramal, a suburb of Jharsuguda town. It is expected to be a popular venue for cultural events, such as plays, concerts, and dance performances. It will also be used for educational and social events, such as seminars, conferences, and workshops.
The construction of the Auditorium was a long-awaited project for the people of Jharsuguda. The district is home to a large number of industries and mines, but it did not have a proper theatre until now. The new theatre is expected to boost cultural activities in the district and provide a platform for people to showcase their talents.
