Government to Launch Sanchar Sarathi Portal to Help Find Lost or Stolen Phones

New Delhi:In today’s world, smartphones have become an integral part of our daily lives, and many of our important tasks depend on them. Therefore, losing a smartphone, whether by misplacing it or having it stolen, can cause significant disruption and distress. In such a scenario, people often report the incident to the police, but unfortunately, the success rate of recovering lost phones is quite low. To address this issue, the Indian government has taken a major step to help its citizens recover their lost or stolen phones.

A smartphone contains a vast amount of crucial information and personal data, including personal photographs, emails, and contact details, which can be lost or potentially misused if the phone falls into the wrong hands. Recognizing the potential risks involved, the government has launched a new portal called the Sanchar Sarathi Portal, which aims to assist people in locating their lost or stolen phones quickly.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has played a vital role in creating the Sanchar Sarathi Portal, which is designed to ensure that people’s lost phones and personal data remain secure. The Sanchar Sarathi Portal has yet to be fully launched, but it is scheduled to go live on World Telecom Day, which is celebrated on May 17th. The Union Minister will officially launch the portal on this day.

The Sanchar Sarathi Portal is a game-changer in the realm of lost or stolen phones. It will provide a much-needed service that will help people find their phones easily. Once the service is live, anyone who loses their phone can log onto the Sanchar Sarathi Portal and report their phone missing. The portal will then search for the phone’s location based on its unique IMEI number, which every phone has.

This service is a significant step forward in protecting people’s privacy and ensuring that their personal data remains secure. With the launch of the Sanchar Sarathi Portal, the government aims to create a safer environment for smartphone users across the country.
