Man stabbed with knife over parking dispute
Jharsuguda : A 40-year-old man was stabbed with a knife at Beheramal by a 22 year old youth after they had altercation over parking issue at Beheramal on Monday
Police identified the accused as Sumit Bhagat (22), while the victim was identified as Hemananda Bagh, a resident of Bhuliatikra, Jharsuguda
As per police sources, at around 10.30am Hemananda Bagh along with his wife and child was on their bike and had parked their bike, when the accused Summit who was in his car and had altercation for parking behind Siddheswari Temple, Beheramal. The altercation was so heated up that in fit of anger the accused Sumit Bhagat had stabbed the victim Hemanand Bagh on his ches. However, the local people managed to rescue the victim and had thrashed the accused and handed over him to the police officials. The victim was immediately shifted to Samleswari Hospital, however, later he was referred to VIMSAR Burla.
Jharsuguda Police Station Officer incharge Sabitra Bal said, “A attempt to murder case has been registered against the accused, while the victim has been shifted to VIMSAR Burla for treatment. The investigation is still going on.”
