Jharsuguda : An accused involved in a theft case  had managed to escape from the police custody from Jharsuguda Sadar Police Station on Tuesday afternoon. However, on Wednesday, Police were able to nab him from Baeripalli, Sambalpur.
The Police identified the accuse as Umesh Satnami, a resident of Sarasmal, Jharsuguda
As per report, Umesh Satnami was caught by the Jharsuguda Sardar Police officials on Tuesday in a theft case and was kept at Jharsuguda Sadar Police Station. However, somehow the accused managed to flee away from the Sadar Police station at around 3.30 pm. After intensive search, the Police were able to catch him from Sambalpur area.
Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Parmar Smit P. Das Said, “The accused was caught from Sambalpur and has been forwarded to court. Subsequently, an Internal enquiry has been initiated into this which will be led by a Senior Police Officer and appropriate action will be taken â€.
