State Legislative Assembly House Sub-Committee to visit Jharsuguda on 21st December
Jharsuguda : State Legislative Assembly Sub-Committee – II of House Committee on Environment will visit Jharsuguda district on 21st December. It will observe the impact of waste water released by rice mills, industries on river, canals and other water sources.
The committee will study the impact of contaminated water on water bodies and agricultural land and hold discussion with district administration. The committee formed under the chairmanship of Mohan Charan Majhi , MLA and will also accompanied by other MLA’s Brajakishore Pradhan, Nauri Nayak, Subhash Chandra Behera, Dr. C.S. Rajan Ekka, Prakash Soren and Aditya Madhi as members.
The committee will tour Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts between 19th to 21st. Post studying the impact, a meeting will be held with Collector, Forest Department, Pollution Control Board, water resources, mines department officials, rice mills and industry representatives at Jharsuguda.
