Jharsuguda : A cleanliness drive under Swachhta Pakhwada has been carried at Veer Surendra Sai Airport (VSS) airport has been contributing its part by cleaning several sites and discarding the scraps. This initiative is under Swachh Bharat Special campaign 2.0 which has been kick started throughout the country from Birth anniversary of Mahatama Gandhiji.
Under this Campaign, Cleanliness drives were carried out at the VSS Airport including Grass, weeds and dry leaves have been cleared at MSSR power house earth pits, Arrival side approach garden, fire tank area, perimeter lighting feeder panels, NDB power house, substation earth pits and at AAI residential colony, Fire station and it’s Store rooms, Motor garage, Airport parking area, apron area, GLF stores, EPABX room, office space of various depts, window panels, facades of terminal building and water coolers have been cleaned thoroughly and neatly arranged. Scraps and obsolete items identified by various depts have been set out for disposal through official procedure.
The schedule is all set for inspection and subsequent cleaning of all Airport associated public sites and office space within 31st October.
