Jharsuguda Bypass on NH-49 has been sanctioned, informs Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari
Jharsuguda : To ease the traffic at industrial town Jharsuguda, a bypass road which will originate from Budhipatar area and will connect to Patrapali via Talpatia on NH49, will come up soon.
On Monday, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari has informed by tweeting about the project and informed that it has been sanctioned.
“The project for the construction of 31.24 km Jharsuguda Bypass on NH-49 in Odisha has been sanctioned at the total cost of Rs. 587.10 Cr. It will also have an Elephant Underpass Structure for the safe movement of wildlife in the surrounding areas.” He tweets

As per report, This Bypass Road will originate from Budhipatar near IB Bridge and then connect Patrapali Via Talpatia. In this Project, as there is movement of wildlife, a Under pass for the Elephant will also be constructed for the safe movement of elephants and wildlife.
Jharsuguda NH Division Executive Engineer Satyaban Patel said, “This Bypass Road will originate from Budhipatra area Via Talpatia Chowk will connect to Patrapali near Kolabira. A road under bridge will be constructed at H. Kantapali while a Railway over bridge will be constructed at Arda area. Apart from this, a under pass will be constructed for safe movement of wildlife. At present, nearly, 70% of land acquisition process has been completed and rest will be completed soon.”
